Our Sunshine Coast location boasts 181 rooms, including 41 one-bedroom suites, a Great Room for dining, and a stunning rooftop pool. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding guest experiences in a comfortable and modern setting.

The Role

As the Assistant Night Manager, you'll be a key player in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service and our operations run smoothly throughout the night. Partnering closely with the Night Manager, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the night shift, from overseeing operations to handling guest requests and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Brand Ambassadorship: Be an enthusiastic representative of the Holiday Inn Express® brand, embodying our commitment to excellent service.
• Organizational Skills: Manage scheduling, activity planning, and task delegation with precision to support the hotel’s success.
• Leadership: Work alongside the Night Manager and Duty Management team, taking charge when necessary, and lead by example.
• Emergency Procedures: Take an active role in hotel emergency procedures and ensure compliance with local regulations and safety requirements.
• Effective Communication: Adapt your communication style to connect with a diverse range of people, providing clear and concise information.
• Problem Solving: Collaborate with various teams to address challenges and contribute to the ongoing development of our business.

Skills & Experience

• Experience: Proven track record in a similar role or capacity, with a strong understanding of hotel operations.
• Night Shift: Comfort and enthusiasm for working night shifts.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism: Personable with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Judgement: Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and handle responsibilities effectively.
• Qualifications: Ideally possess relevant qualifications or equivalent experience. First Aid and VIC RSA certificates are required or must be obtained.
• Legal Requirements: Must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.
