Position Overview:

As a Cook, you will oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. You'll ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while adhering to Holiday Inn Express’s brand standards and operational procedures. Your role will involve supervising kitchen staff, managing stock, and ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations and staff performance.
• Control inventory and reduce wastage by monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper storage.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation in line with brand standards.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
• Follow food safety protocols, including cleaning schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and policies.
• Participate in staff training and development, contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Ability to maintain a neat personal presentation and work efficiently under pressure.
• Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, standing for long periods, and operating kitchen equipment safely.
