Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to join our team at Country Comfort Perth. As the Night Auditor, you will oversee the nightly operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, seamless guest service, and efficient operation of the front office. You’ll work closely with the Front Office Manager to supervise the overnight shift, while maintaining the highest standards of guest service and hotel operations.
Core Responsibilities
Guest Service Excellence: Ensure efficient and friendly service, welcoming all guests warmly, and addressing any requests or concerns promptly. Deliver personalized service, making every guest feel valued and comfortable.
Operational Management: Supervise and coordinate the nightly operations of the front office, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and financial transactions. Ensure the proper handling of cash, lost and found, and guest confidentiality.
Financial Integrity: Perform nightly audits on the Property Management System (PMS), verifying payment details, billing, and special requests. Accurately record and break down room tariffs, packages, and payments.
Guest Experience: Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive resolution and recording any incidents for follow-up. Ensure smooth communication between shifts and departments.
Team Leadership: Work closely with the Guest Services team, assigning tasks, conducting briefings, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. Encourage upselling and ensure all guests receive special treatment when required.
Security and Safety: Ensure that all emergency and master keys are securely stored and that security procedures for cash handling and guest privacy are followed. Report any safety concerns or accidents promptly.
Administrative Support: Assist with periodic stocktakes, monitor expenses, and track any variances. Ensure proper equipment and supply use to minimize downtime or disruptions.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Prior experience in a hotel or customer service environment is preferred.
Attention to Detail: Strong skills in financial auditing, record-keeping, and attention to guest needs.
Leadership: Ability to lead a team, assign tasks, and maintain high levels of service during overnight shifts.
Guest-Focused: A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and resolving issues with professionalism.
Problem Solving: Proactive in handling guest requests, incidents, and operational issues.
Flexibility: Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends as required.
