Position Overview:

As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in all aspects of food preparation, ensuring our ethos of minimal to zero food wastage is upheld. You’ll manage and lead our kitchen team during busy service periods, maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive food preparation and menu presentation while contributing your creative flair.
• Lead the team through breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring quality remains uncompromised.
• Manage HACCP standards and maintain exceptional hygiene and safety practices.
• Flexibly accommodate guest requests and provide suitable alternatives when needed.
• Foster a positive team environment through regular feedback, coaching, and support.
• Assist with ordering, understand P&L management, and control food costs.
• Help with roster planning and payroll management in line with forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain positive relationships with all hotel departments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, Head Chef, or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
• Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.
• Impeccable hygiene, grooming, and presentation standards.
• Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• A genuine passion for food and beverage!
