We're looking for a passionate and experienced Bar Manager to lead our team at Bar Albert, a bar like no other, perched on Level 38 and redefining the city’s social scene.

Your Day to Day

As the Bar Manager, you’ll oversee all beverage operations at Bar Albert and across Level 38, ensuring exceptional service, high team performance, and operational excellence. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll play a key role in achieving financial targets, enhancing our guest experience, and elevating our venue's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

People & Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a dynamic bar team to deliver unforgettable guest experiences
• Conduct training, coaching, performance appraisals, and team development initiatives
• Drive a positive, collaborative workplace culture across departments
• Manage rosters and ensure compliance with payroll and employment practices.

Financial Management

• Monitor budgets and control costs with a focus on beverage and labour
• Lead stock control, ordering, and monthly inventory reporting
• Oversee accurate POS programming, cash handling, and financial reconciliations

Guest Experience

• Champion exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction
• Innovate with creative cocktail menus and unique bar offerings
• Engage with guests, respond to feedback, and resolve issues promptly

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure RSA, food safety, and WHS protocols are upheld
• Lead COVID-safe practices and emergency preparedness procedures
• Support marketing initiatives and stay across industry trends

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing a premium bar or high-volume venue
• A natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong financial acumen and operational expertise
• Passion for service excellence and team development
• Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage trends
• Current RSA and relevant certifications
