In 2022, voco™ Brisbane City Centre opened offering 194 guest rooms, 11 meetings rooms, 2 Food & Beverage outlets, a Fitness Centre & Rooftop Pool. Soon to follow was the Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre with 212-rooms and the incredible new Izakaya Publico Restaurant and Bar 1603.

The Role

As the Cluster General Manager, you will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the seamless operation of both voco Brisbane and Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre. You are a dynamic and insightful leader who excels in managing diverse teams and driving exceptional guest experiences. Your expertise in operational excellence and financial acumen will be pivotal in achieving our business goals.

Responsibilities 

• Lead and inspire the management teams across both properties to deliver outstanding service and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and market positioning.
• Oversee financial performance, ensuring all revenue streams are optimized and accurately reported.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards.

• Being part of and taking the lead when required in hotel emergency procedures, together with assisting in ensuring the hotel complies with local government regulations concerning safety, and any other regulatory requirements. 
• You'll be dealing with a variety of people, so your communication will be adaptable. You'll be a brilliant communicator - consistently clear and concise. 

Skills & Experience 

• Proven experience within a similar role or capacity as General Manager or Hotel Manager, preferably in a cluster operation. 
• Demonstrable experience with hotel PMS such as Opera and POS Simphony.

• You possess a strong proficiency in Excel and a keen aptitude for working with numbers, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and advanced budgeting skills.

• Professional and personable, with a with a can-do attitude. 
• You make calm, collected decisions – even when the clock is ticking. 
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form. 
• You will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid Certificate and have knowledge QLD Liquor Licensing. 
• You must meet the appropriate legal requirements to work in Australia.
