Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Cluster Maintenance Manager to lead and supervise the engineering and maintenance teams at voco and Holiday Inn Express Auckland & Holiday Inn Express and Suites Queenstown. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of hotel equipment and facilities, ensuring that our properties remain compliant with IHG brand standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including HVAC and other facility issues.
• Collaborate with hotel managers and the Portfolio Facilities Manager to address and escalate major maintenance concerns.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards, providing training and refreshers for staff on safety and emergency procedures.
• Assist in capital project planning, budget allocation, and energy management programs to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Monitor energy usage, implement conservation measures, and contribute to the hotel's profitability through effective management of environmental controls.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction by promptly addressing technical support needs and ensuring safety and comfort.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, implementing a preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including fire codes and safety procedures.
• Build strong relationships with hotel leaders and external contractors to facilitate efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualifications in electrical, construction, mechanical, or engineering disciplines.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within engineering or maintenance, preferably in a large hotel setting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining high guest satisfaction and quality standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on problem-solving and collaboration.
• Excellent knowledge of current government regulations related to hotel operations.
