As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen’s daily operations under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef. You’ll prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard while maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards and menu specifications.
• Assist with daily mise en place and ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with receiving and storing deliveries, and minimise wastage.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures (HACCP and WHS standards).
• Support a positive team culture by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues as needed.
• Uphold all safety, fire, and emergency procedures while using correct manual handling techniques.

About You

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Food Safety Certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
• A passion for cooking, creativity, and delivering quality food consistently.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a busy kitchen environment.
