Holiday Inn Express Macquarie Park is looking for a motivated and hands-on Duty Manager to drive daily operations, deliver memorable guest experiences, and support our amazing team.

About the Role
As Duty Manager, you'll be at the heart of hotel operations, managing daily activities, supporting team performance, and ensuring exceptional guest service. You’ll help maximise profitability, maintain compliance, and create a positive, high-performing workplace. This role also includes flexibility to support other properties as needed, including interstate travel when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and guest-focused experience
  • Drive revenue through smart use of systems and ensure compliance with audit and cash handling procedures
  • Support and coach team members, helping them grow and perform at their best
  • Manage ordering, inventory control, and stock-related processes aligned with business needs
  • Maintain high standards across cleanliness, safety, and brand presentation
  • Lead by example in delivering on our Service Style: Be Ready, Be Engaging, Be On It
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, with timely follow-up and resolution
  • Coordinate and communicate with all departments to ensure service excellence
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and contractors
  • Contribute to recruitment, performance reviews, and team recognition programs
  • Maintain accurate records in line with hotel policies and ensure proper shift handovers
  • Be prepared to assist other hotels within the group as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in hotel operations or hospitality leadership
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Confident in handling guest concerns and operational challenges
  • Knowledge of rostering, cost control, and ordering systems
  • Familiarity with WH&S policies, emergency procedures, and compliance standards
  • Ability to work across shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude and commitment to brand values
