The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Head Bartender to join our team at Bar Albert. You’ll be responsible for leading the Bar team, ensuring high-quality beverage service, and maintaining exceptional standards in line with both brands. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage day-to-day bar operations, drive staff performance, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and develop a team of Bartenders, ensuring efficient operations and excellent guest service.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to improve team performance.
• Manage staffing levels to ensure service runs smoothly.
• Enforce grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards for staff.
• Oversee stock levels, manage inventory, and place purchase orders.
• Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling costs to maintain profitability.
• Ensure adherence to Cash Handling SOPs and monitor financial transactions.
• Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service.
• Create and manage the cocktail menu to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Build relationships with regular guests and VIPs.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including RSA and Food Safety procedures.
• Support a safe working environment and assist with emergency response planning.
• Proven experience in a Bartender or supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Good financial acumen, including stock control and cost management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

What we need from you?

• Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and bar equipment
• Creativity in crafting new drink recipes and presentations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Certification in responsible alcohol service
