We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to support our Culinary Team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Head Chef, the Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen and food service areas. You will assist in maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment, help reduce waste, support food handling processes, and comply with all relevant health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and related equipment

• Assist with food preparation and general kitchen duties when required

• Set up, top up, and pack down the breakfast buffet

• Ensure proper storage and rotation of food and beverage items

• Follow the Food Safety Plan and HACCP standards, completing cleaning schedules and documentation

• Monitor stock, reduce wastage, and report any damaged or missing goods

• Maintain the cleanliness and replenishment of the staff dining area

• Support the team by communicating effectively across departments

• Practice safe chemical handling and use of personal protective equipment

• Participate in training sessions and maintain grooming and uniform standards

What We’re Looking For

• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Previous stewarding or kitchen hand experience (preferred but not essential)

• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• A positive attitude and commitment to high standards of service and cleanliness
