Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front office team. Reporting to the Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the hotel’s nightly audit process, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and delivering exceptional service to our guests during the overnight shift. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work independently, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
Financial Returns
Conduct the Night Audit process, ensuring all hotel revenue and expenses are correctly recorded for the day.
Post any outstanding charges to guests' accounts and balance cashier accounts.
Identify discrepancies and prepare a comprehensive night audit report.
Assist the Night Manager with internal control procedures to help prevent theft or fraud.
Support administrative functions such as Accounts Payable, batching, and scanning invoices into NetSuite.
Guest Experience
Be the first point of contact for guest inquiries during the night shift, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Greet guests warmly, making them feel valued and appreciated, especially IHG Rewards Club members and VIPs.
Address guest concerns and requests, ensuring that each guest departs with a positive impression of their stay.
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to assist with guest inquiries, including reservations and food & beverage services.
People
Work closely with the team to promote a collaborative, efficient, and supportive work environment.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Perform shift handovers accurately, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to provide seamless service.
Responsible Business
Ensure compliance with all hotel finance policies and IHG guidelines.
Assist in emergency response situations, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
Help maintain hotel security protocols and report any hazards or risks.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right candidate!
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately audit financial data and identify discrepancies.
Guest-Focused: You have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing great service.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Team Player: You work well with others and maintain positive relationships with colleagues across departments.
Flexible Schedule: Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends.
