The Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Restaurant & Bar Attendant to join our team. In this key role, you will assist in running the hotel’s Restaurant & Bar outlets, ensuring we provide exceptional customer service that aligns with Kimpton’s brand standards. Working under the direction of the Director of Restaurants & Bars, you will support and guide a team of attendants, ensuring smooth operations and an unforgettable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide top-tier service in the restaurant and bar, ensuring guests are promptly greeted, served, and that their needs are met throughout their visit.
Team Support: Lead and motivate the Restaurant & Bar attendants, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools, training, and support to deliver excellence in service.
Operational Excellence: Help with daily operations, including stock control, financial transactions, ordering, and maintaining the highest standards in food and beverage service.
Upselling: Suggest and promote restaurant and bar products to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
Guest Relations: Build positive relationships with guests, remembering names, and anticipating their needs. Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations regarding responsible service of alcohol (RSA), health and safety standards, and hotel procedures.
Training & Development: Participate in team training and development, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous Experience: Previous experience as a waiter or bartender, with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
Leadership: Ability to lead by example, providing guidance and support to your team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues.
Problem Solver: A calm and collected individual, able to resolve any issues that arise efficiently.
Legal Requirements: Must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and meet legal work requirements in Australia.
Energy & Passion: A high energy level and passion for hospitality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
