About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Restaurant & Bars, you’ll be responsible for delivering warm, personalised service in line with Kimpton’s brand standards. You’ll work closely with our third-party food and beverage specialists to ensure our outlets are immaculately presented and operating seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner

• Provide high-standard food and beverage service, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

• Respond to guest needs promptly, handling any issues or complaints with care and professionalism

• Maintain strong product and service knowledge to confidently recommend menu items

• Ensure guests leave with a positive and memorable impression of our service

Operational Excellence

• Follow sequence of service to maintain consistency across all outlets

• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of workstations at all times

• Attend daily briefings, team meetings, and required training sessions

• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless service across the hotel

• Perform effective shift handovers and communicate key information to the next team

Financial & Compliance Responsibilities

• Upsell food, beverages, and event offerings to maximise revenue

• Process payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures

• Monitor and manage stock levels while minimising wastage

• Adhere to all WH&S, RSA, HACCP, and food safety standards

• Participate in emergency procedures and uphold all company policies including privacy, anti-bribery, and responsible service protocols

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality role preferred

• Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset

• A team player with attention to detail and a proactive attitude

• RSA certified (or willing to obtain)

• Well-presented, punctual, and professional
