About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Restaurant & Bars, you’ll be responsible for delivering warm, personalised service in line with Kimpton’s brand standards. You’ll work closely with our third-party food and beverage specialists to ensure our outlets are immaculately presented and operating seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Provide high-standard food and beverage service, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Respond to guest needs promptly, handling any issues or complaints with care and professionalism
Maintain strong product and service knowledge to confidently recommend menu items
Ensure guests leave with a positive and memorable impression of our service
Operational Excellence
Follow sequence of service to maintain consistency across all outlets
Ensure cleanliness and readiness of workstations at all times
Attend daily briefings, team meetings, and required training sessions
Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless service across the hotel
Perform effective shift handovers and communicate key information to the next team
Financial & Compliance Responsibilities
Upsell food, beverages, and event offerings to maximise revenue
Process payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures
Monitor and manage stock levels while minimising wastage
Adhere to all WH&S, RSA, HACCP, and food safety standards
Participate in emergency procedures and uphold all company policies including privacy, anti-bribery, and responsible service protocols
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality role preferred
Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset
A team player with attention to detail and a proactive attitude
RSA certified (or willing to obtain)
Well-presented, punctual, and professional
