The Role: Front Office Supervisor

We are seeking an engaging and energetic Front Office Supervisor to lead by example and support the front office team in delivering seamless guest service. You’ll be the face of the guest experience, setting the tone for each stay by creating a warm welcome, managing daily operations, and helping drive team performance and guest satisfaction.

Reporting to the Duty Managers and Executive Team, you'll play a key role in supporting hotel operations while upholding IHG's True Hospitality values and ensuring all brand, quality, and safety standards are met.


What You’ll Do

Guest Experience & Service

  • Ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process

  • Personally respond to guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally

  • Be visible and approachable in guest areas to build strong relationships

  • Conduct regular inspections of public areas, ensuring brand standards are maintained

  • Drive IHG Rewards Club engagement and exceed enrolment targets

People & Culture

  • Support and mentor team members, creating a positive and inclusive work environment

  • Coordinate rosters and ensure consistent and effective shift handovers

  • Champion the hotel’s Reward & Recognition programs

  • Deliver training, coach staff, and support ongoing team development

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Assist with cost control, including managing stock, ordering, and cash handling procedures

  • Ensure compliance with audit, safety, and quality standards

  • Contribute to maximising occupancy and revenue through effective systems use

  • Support Duty Managers in managing departmental budgets and forecasts

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all WH&S and emergency procedures are followed and understood

  • Participate in emergency response planning and training

  • Promote and enforce safety protocols, PPE usage, and hazard reporting

  • Support property and guest security policies in line with brand and legal requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Great attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a hotel environment

  • Familiarity with front office systems (Opera or similar preferred)

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

  • RSA and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is highly regarded
