Position: Commis Chef
Employment Type: Casual, Part-time, and Full-time options available

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our talented Culinary Brigade under the guidance of our exceptional Head Chef to deliver exceptional, locally sourced and seasonal gastronomic delights.
• Assist in all facets of food preparation, ensuring adherence to our ethos of minimal food wastage and high culinary standards.
• Manage a designated kitchen section (e.g., pastry, butchery) with precision and creativity.
• Contribute innovative ideas to menu development and daily specials.
• Maintain a seamless relationship between the kitchen and front of house teams.
• Uphold HACCP standards and ensure impeccable hygiene practices.

Requirements:

• Certification in Cert III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and familiarity with its cooking techniques is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
